Behind Creeds Direct is a dedicated team with more than 65 years of combined experience supporting professional bakers across the UK.
Meet some of the experienced professionals who help drive Creeds Direct forward, many of whom started their careers as bakers themselves.
They understand the day-to-day demands of the trade and what’s needed to run a successful bakery.

Laurent Valbret
Managing Director
Laurent took over Creeds Direct in 1999 following the retirement of his father-in-law, Geoff Dearden. His background in international trade facilitated the successful search for reliable manufacturers of bakery equipment abroad, which strengthened the company’s product offering.
Laurent has also been actively involved in the wider baking industry. He served a term as President of the Oxfordshire Association of Master Bakers. Later, he was co-opted to serve as President of the London and South-East Region of the Master Bakers Association, now known as the Craft Bakers Association. His industry involvement reflects his commitment to supporting and representing professional bakers.

Vince Mallett
UK Sales Manager
Vince began his career as a baker, starting out in a Tesco in-store bakery before going on to work alongside his uncle in a family-owned bakery in East Anglia. This hands-on experience gave him a strong understanding of the inner workings of a bakery.
Since joining Creeds Direct, Vince has built lasting relationships with customers across the country. Vince is a friendly, positive and helpful man. He is highly valued by many of the businesses he supports and as sales manager, plays an important role in maintaining the trusted partnerships Creeds is known for.

Carole Peachey
Sales Office Manager
Carole joined Creeds 2 years ago and was a perfect fit for Creeds. She brought with her extensive experience in customer service and sales administration, acquired in other industries. She made Creeds more efficient and streamlined our procedures to make them simpler and more customer friendly.
As manager of the head-office team, Carole keeps everyone working at their best to provide the high level of service Creeds’ customers have come to expect. Her focus on efficiency and support makes a real difference in the day-to-day running of the business.

Luke Cleaver
Warehouse Manager
Luke oversees inventory at Creeds Direct, and is in charge of keeping stock levels maintained so orders reach customers quickly and efficiently. He also manages spare parts, coordinating with bakery engineers and suppliers to source the right components as fast as possible.
Originally from the electrical wholesale industry, Luke quickly adapted to the bakery equipment sector and the world of spare parts. Outside of work, he’s a passionate foodie and a tall, sporty individual with a love of basketball.
